Question

Cannot Publish Workflow in the Workflow Server

asked on June 28, 2015

Dear All,

I'm trying to migrate Laserfiche Server from Windows 2003 server to new Windows 2008 R2 server.

I've installed Laserfiche 8.3.2 Server, and Laserfiche Workflow 8.3.1. Configuration successfully done.

All workflows are loading in the new server.

When I try Changing the Workflow and publish, the following error occurs:

Failed to publish workflow 'Create HR Sub Folders': Could not load file or assembly 'LaserficheConnectionCore, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=607dd73ee2bd1c00' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. [0411-WF0]

Look like the Laserfiche DLLs are missing the registration, kindly suggest if anyone knows about this error.

Hi Kirrubananthan,

The only time I've ever seen this error in the past it was rights related. Try changing the workflow server service to use a domain admin logon (or a logon with local admin rights to the WF server) instead of using local system.

Hope this helps! smileyyes

Hi Chris

Thank you for the reply!

Have tried this option. Still the same error.

Can you suggest any other?

Hi Kirrubananthan,

Hmmmm. Not sure. Still seems rights related to me. Are you logged on to the server with a local admin account?

Failing that it could be something special in your workflow (custom script etc.) that is looking for a file it can't find. That's where Miruna is going I think. cool

If you are still experiencing issues it might be best to open a support case smiley. This way you can provide logs etc. which will be too confidential to post here.

Let us know here how you get on if you do open a support case wink

Good Luck!

Do you get the same behavior when trying to publish any workflow or only this one?
Are all the WF services running?

Was this a clean Workflow install? Are you upgrading from 8.0? Workflow 8.3.1 does not use LaserficheConnectionCore 8.0.0.0. What activities are in your workflow? Does the error happen when publishing any workflow or just this one?

Dear Miruna\Raymond,

This is a fresh installation in Windows 2008 R2 server. I've installed the following hotfixes too:

1. WF831193_KB1013129_x64

2. KB1012980

But I've pointing to a Database cloning from the production server, which is currently running on Windows 2003 R2 server. So I had to point all the workflows to new workflow server profile to run in the new server.

This error is prompting whenever I publish any workflow, even a new simple workflow task.

Same error shows up, even if I try from any other Machines with Workflow Designer.

Any further suggestions!

Regards

Kirubaa

KB 1012980 only applies when running 32-bit Workflow on 64-bit operating systems. Is that your case?

Nope. But I tried that too.

Since you already opened a case with Support, we will continue with the troubleshooting process there
