FORMS: REPORTS: Reports by user or form variable filters ?

asked on June 24, 2015

Is it possible to create reports based on forms defined variables ?  I need to create reports by Variables I have defined in the form, and by users assigned to a task to identify bottlenecks and average turnaround times for users or processes by variables.

Use Case: I need to be able to filter by various colleges, and then track turnaround times for specific HR users and the Dean in terms of average approval/review times in their Task box.

Is this currently possible  ?  Scheduled in future versions ?

When create report, you can select form variable as a column, and there is "assigned to" column which would show the user assigned to a task.

However you can't filter by form variable or task assigned to on forms report. You can choose to download the report as excel file.

What if a form variable doesn't show up in the category list to choose for a custom report? For example, I have a variable field for Location but when I try to run bar or pie graph report, the category variable choices do not include that. Can I add a category to the options?

Also, in Forms 10 there will be extended reporting features for situations like what you just described according to what was shown at Empower 2015.
