ordering of documents picked up by quick fields

If we have a repo folder with 500 documents and Quick Fields is set to trigger after every 5 minutes (using QF Agent). What order Quick Fields picks up the documents when it starts processing documents from that folder (it's a repo folder). Does it pick them up as per the documents with oldest creation date? Means as per first come first server?

It's alphabetical order.

But don't you think that this is not really an ideal approach.

Documents scanned-in earlier needs to be processed earlier. So if the name of the first document out of 500 documents starts with 'Z' i.e Zymb, then this document will be processed right at the end in the queue.
