Question

LDAP Configuration for Participants

asked on June 19, 2015

Hi All,

We are trying to configure our forms participants and having some trouble with the LDAP configuration.

We want to have the users separated out into 2 groups (either through AD groups or by OU). We need this to control form submission rights.

When we add one of the OUs to the config, it does not show up in our participant list, nor do any users get added. However we do see an entry get added for any AD groups within the OU (or sub OUs).

The Base DN we are using for this is formatted as "OU=Users,OU=Company,DC=Domain,DC=local"

If we use "OU=Company,DC=Domain,DC=local" it will pull in all groups but no users. If we try logging in with a user within that group the login fails.

We have also tried adding an individual user with a DN formatted as "CN=myUser,OU=Users,OU=Company,DC=Domain,DC=local".

In this case we get a message saying the config is updated successfully but the user is not added to our Participant list.

We do not see any error for any of the base DNs listed above. Is there a problem with the formatting on our LDAP query? It seems odd to me that it pulls in groups but not users.

Thank you for looking at our query.

If a user has already been added as repository LDAP user, it won't be added as participant LDAP user.

Can you check if the users have been added in repository?

Hi Rui,

Thanks for looking at our question.

Non of the users we are trying to add are currently setup as users on the repository itself.
