Setting Options in Repository

It is my understanding that the options that I set in the Laserfiche client is stored as attributes. I wanted to know what that attributes are please. I am having some options for New Documents in the client. I understand that those options can be applied to a group so that for anyone in that group, those settings will be automatically set. How do I do that please?

Attributes can only be assigned to individual users, or to the Everyone group. You can't apply attributes to Laserfiche groups.

I suppose the reasoning for that is because you could potentially have a user who is a part of multiple groups, each with conflicting attributes.

There are hundreds of attributes that are stored by the Laserfiche client applications. The Trustee attribute tech paper discusses the most common ones as well as strategies and tips for determining others and applying them to other users.

Thanks. Should the attribute be applied to user by user basis? Can it be applied to a group?
