We’re working on a QF session that process a dot matrix print receipt, the receipt number it’s printed on big characters. The OCR process displays the correct number but the session doesn’t read this characters.
We test all the possibilities on the smooth process; we also set on the zone OCR to select just numbers and nothing, it’s not working.
Hmm I see. Try adding a Resize process. I got your sample to OCR perfectly by re-sizing it so the text was less stretched.

Thanks for providing the sample document. I was able to correctly Zone OCR the receipt number from this document using a combination of smooth and resize, as shown below:
Configuration:
(Note that Smooth and Resize are local enhancements to avoid altering the image)

The smooth process is especially helpful for improving the OCR results from dot matrix printed text.
Thanks for the reply Tessa, which value do use for the re-sizing? I try different values and options and nothing.
Sorry for the late reply but I do several test to see if we can solve this by myself.
