Copy Process breaks the File Upload Save to Repository

asked on June 16, 2015

I have created a process with a single form, that allows you to upload some files to Laserfiche.   This works great.   I wanted to copy the process and give it a different name for testing purposes.   So I go to the manage page check the box beside the process I want a copy of.  Then click the copy button at the top.   I now get a new process.   I then open the properties on the Service Task to Save to Repository,  edit the path to save.  If I run this new process,  it will save the form and the business process xml but will not save the attachments loaded with the file upload.   If I delete the service task and reenter all the information exactly the same,  then it will save the attachments.

I was trying to have  a debug version and a release version of my processes,  so I could thoroughly test an update to a process before publishing.  My plan was to have the debug version fully test and then delete the production,  copy the debug and rename to original name of the production that was deleted.

Hi Michael,

Which version of Forms are you using? I tested this on 9.2.1 and the uploaded file can be saved to repository using the copied process.

And in your description I noticed "I now get a new process.   I then open the properties on the Service Task to Save to Repository,  edit the path to save." Are you using "Parent form location" for attachment? Have you tried running the copied process without changing the path?

I am running 9.2.     I am using Parent form Location for the attachment.   When I mentioned changing the path it was for the form save.   I had tried not changing anything and it was still not working.   I did some more testing based on your response and narrowed down the problem a bit.   I did not mention this but it breaks when the you put the file upload within a collection field.

I have attached the xml download of my process,  extension changed to txt so I could attach.
