Question

Weblink 9 Show only the latest document

asked on June 15, 2015

Hello,

We have Weblink 9 installed and I thought that the previous version had the option to only show latest version of documents. How can I set this for all users? We are having some major confusion between desktop users and web users. Thanks!

On our local installation, if I make a change to a versioned PDF in Web Access and reload the same PDF in WebLink 9, I am only seeing the newest version. Could you explain exactly what you are seeing and what you would like to see?

On the client version within the Options section under Browser\Settings there is the option to "Show only the latest document in a link group"

Now, if that option is selected I only see 1 document and not the duplicates that I see if I view the same folder within weblink.

I would like the option within weblink to see only the latest document. Users are getting confused as to which document is the most current.

Hope that makes more sense.

Hi Scott,

You can set this per repository in the WebLink Administrator's Utility.

In the Admin Utility, select 'Edit' to edit the repository settings.  In the Edit Repository Configuration dialog that comes up, you'll see the 'Only show latest member of a link group' option (see screenshot).  After applying your changes, reset IIS and you will see the desired behavior.
