Feature Request: Forms Database Cleanup

asked on June 11, 2015

Hi,

I have noticed that the Forms database/system does not have any options for cleanup that I can see. Unlike Workflow, which has options to cleanup instances older than X amount of days.

Is there such an option in Forms that I'm not aware of?

I know that you can manually delete old forms instances, although not ideal.

Thanks

Sheldon

There currently no option to cleanup the database as you mentioned. I have mentioned this in talks with the Forms team before and I know they are aware of this and probably working on a solution.

Hi Blake,

Thank you for your reply.

I'd like to hear from a Laserfiche representative on what the official procedure is to clean up a Forms system that is occupying too much space on the DB server.

I have previously deleted Form instances from the Forms Results page, however this does not seem make any difference in the DB size at all. Short of manually deleting records directly from the DB tables, there does not seem to be any other options.

For future reference please open a case with Laserfiche Technical Support , we can look into what is taking up most of the space and provide steps on how to clear up the database. But it depends on different factors which differ from customer to customer. For this initial post the var submitted a case with Technical Support, we assist him directly.
