Question

Simple Substitution

asked on June 9, 2015

Over the years there has been a shift in phrasing that is causing my QuickFields Session to be less effective.

Currently we refer to one of our boards as Shafter City Council, and this is what I built the whole Quick Fields session around. In earlier documents it was referred to as City Council of the City of Shafter.

I would like to create a substitution so that when my token value is City Council of the City of Shafter it is reformatted to say Shafter City Council.

The problem is there are several possible token values besides these two including Shafter Planning Commission, Shafter Community Development Agency, etc. I am not sure how to have it pick up any/all of those and deal with this substitution and get both possibilities.

I hope that makes sense! I would appreciate any help!

In the identification process can you place the condition to "Any" and then say if it contains City Council of the city of Shafter or Shafter Planning commision or etc.? Then code the field to Shafter City Council.
