migrating laserfiche database to another server

In referring to KB article # 1011155

Item #4 says to copy the mdf and ldf database files to the new server. Does it have to be a copy or will a restore suffice? If I do a restore I think that would attach the database automatically.

The best practice for moving the server to another machine can be found in this thread:

If you don't detach or follow the best practices described above and in the kb you referenced, the links to the old locations remain and you could run into issues.
