Question

error launching business process

asked on June 8, 2015

I've been receiving the following network error when I attempt to run a business process from the Laserfiche client:

Error Code: 0
Error Message: Error launching Business Process:
    Entry: \Y - Departmental Inbox\Invoices\3. Batch Review\AP Clerk Approval
    Error Type: Network Error
    Error Message: Unable to connect to the remote server

------------ Technical Details: ------------

LF.exe (9.2.1.562):
    Call Stack: (Current)
        LaunchBusinessProcess
        CFolderListCtrl::OnStartBusinessProcess
        CDocBaseFrame::OnBusinessProcessToolbarCommand
    Call History:
           CGroupProvider::raw_GetAllGroupIdentifiers
           CGroupProvider::raw_GetAllGroupIdentifiers
           CGroupProvider::raw_GetAllGroupIdentifiers
           CGroupProvider::raw_GetAllGroupIdentifiers
           CGroupProvider::raw_GetAllGroupIdentifiers
           CGroupProvider::raw_GetAllGroupIdentifiers
           CGroupProvider::raw_GetAllGroupIdentifiers
           CBusinessProcessManager::GetStartingInstructionsDocument

The workflow runs fine from the Workflow Designer. If I change the rule to update the icon color or the directory, the business process on the client shows the updates as well. I just can't seem to get it running. The firewall and antivirus is disabled on the server running the workflow.

That was very helpful, thank you!

Our workflow server was migrated previously and the web services hadn't been updated to reflect that. Works now.

I'm having the same issue described above but the configuration file wasn't using the local host option it had the full server name.  I did have to change it from https to http to get it to test properly. This didn't solve my problem.  Is there anything else I can change?

Thanks

Sandy
