how to remove a domain account that doesnt exist anymore?

I am having an issue with removing an account within the System Managers node in the Admin Console.  The error that I am getting is that the Domain Account does not exist anymore:

Usually, once the account is gone from AD, there is no need to remove it from the Admin console. 

If you need to clean it up, the easiest way to do this would be to re-creating the account in AD then removing it from the Admin console and then removing it from AD.
