We have a new prospect that needs the following functionality.  A central repository where a master copy of all data (manuals, documents, bulletins..etc) will reside and be updated by corporate staff.  Service techs need the ability to download this folder locally and have it accessible when onsite at customers.  The service techs usually do not have cell or data service when on site due to the companies their servicing  (govt, medical). 

I looked at the briefcase option but as I can tell the file can only be opened if your laptop has connectivity to the LF server.  Does LF have any type of offline functionality where users can export an entire folder locally and the data still be secured by accessing it via the LF client and still be able to search the documents metatdata?
