Recurring Invalid Catalog Status message

asked on June 4, 2015 Show version history

Ever since I moved our repositories to a new network drive, I seem to be getting recurring Invalid Catalog Status messages, for a number of them, on a regular basis.

Following a number of other postings, I deleted the existing Search Catalog and re-indexed, and I restarted the Laserfiche Full-Text Indexing service, but despite everything working briefly, Search Catalog corruption inevitably comes back.

Is there something else I can try to ensure these issues don't keep coming back?  Maybe a Scheduled Task to restart the Full-Text Indexing service regularly?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

If you are running any applications that do real time file monitoring such as an anti-virus or anti-malware application, you may want to exclude the search catalog's index files from them.

Hi Alex:

Just to give you an update on this, someone else disabled the Search Index, deleted all of the index (.idx) files and re-attached everything, and this appeared to work.  I'm not sure why this was any different than anything I had some previously, but the Index in all of these repositories is still green.

Thanks for your assistance! smiley
