Question

Can context hits be added to weblink search results in grid view?

asked on June 4, 2015

If we enable the grid view for search results in Weblink 9.1.2, can we also allow for the context hits to be shown?  For example, in the Client the search results come up and when you select a document it will show you the context hits at the bottom.  Is this something we can do in Weblink?

Thank you.

To add context hits to WebLink 9 search results, log in to the Client as the public user, run a search, and add the context hits column (count) there. If you want it to show up first in the list, make it the first column after Name. Then log out of the client so the attributes will save to the user settings. After resetting IIS, WebLink will pick up this column setting and show context hits after running a search.

Thanks, Ashley.  However, I am actually trying to find out how to get it to display similarly to the attached image.  The screenshot is how the search results are displayed in the Client, is this possible on WebLink?  Thanks for help.

Unfortunately, having a separate pane for context hits cannot be displayed easily in WebLink 9. This is noted as a feature request!
