Forms Question - Click here to open this task in Forms

asked on May 26, 2015

I have a User Task set up in Forms that will email a user when a form has been submitted so that they can process it further.  However, when I click the "Click here to open this task in Forms" I get an error.  The reason I get the error is that when I click the link, instead of trying to log in as the user that received the email, it attempts logs in as my generic "lfforms" user.  Why does it behave this way?  If I add that "lfforms" user to the list of participants, obviously it opens from the email, but it logs me in as that "lfforms" user.

Is there a way to change this behavior?  I haven't been able to find out where.  This is the user that is used to log into the repository and save to Laserfiche eventually, but I don't know why it's using that user here.

The rest of the process works fine.  If I log in as the user that was set up as the task participant, the approval task is listed and they can carry on with the rest of the process model, but I don't know why the link in the notification emails is trying to log the user back into forms as the "lfforms" user.  Is it a bug?  Any help would be appreciated.

That's who you are logged into Forms as with that browser. Forms does not log you in automatically. You must have logged in with the lfforms user using that browser and did not log out.
