Office program taking too long to open

Hi all,

I have a client whereby LF client (v9.2.1.562) has been installed on users' workstations. When opening Office program (MS word or MS excel), it is taking approximately 2 minutes to launch either MS Word 2010 or MS Excel 2010. This is because LF Office add-ins are being loaded. Also, the workstations are : Windows 7, 2 GB RAM, Core i5 processor and nearly 75% free hard-disk space.

Is there a way to minimise the loading time?

Check the Add-ins that are running on both Word and Excel. Try disabling all of them first then see if that improves the behavior. Then turn them on one at a time and find out what add-in is causing it. If you have multiple LF add-ins, disable the ones that do not apply to the version you are on as well.

Hi Raymond,

Thanks a lot. Since Office 2010 is used at the users' place, it has been observed that Word or Excel is trying to load previous versions of LF/Office add-in (i.e 2003 and 2007 respectively) Is there a possibility to disable this previous versions without disrupting the integration of LF/Office.

You can certainly disable the ones that do not apply by simply unchecking them in that dialog. Please try that and test.
