Is it possible to use Laserfiche forms offline like Doforms(http://www.doforms.com/)? I have a big demand for customers who would like to implement forms on smart devices and tablets. I can do this, but due to connectivity not always being available in their aria of operation they end up loosing interest and I loose a possible sale to a client in the process...

What I have done to get this functionality is to create a fillable PDF and then from my form, I put an option to do Online or Offline. If Offline is selected, then they can download or submit the fillable PDF. This allows them to get the PDFs while they have access and then fill them out offline. Once they get back to an area with access, they can submit the PDF.

The way I have set up my form submission, if they fill it out online, then a workflow is kicked off to populate the fillable PDF with the data submitted on the form. If a PDF is submitted, then the attachment is imported into Laserfiche.

This is not exactly the same thing, but it has been an acceptable workaround.

Very interesting way of doing things. I think it would be a sufficient way to finalise the project I'm working on. Would you be able to take me through setting up this process with a step by step method? We could even meet via Skype if it would make things easier...

This is a good question, also in the broader sense of using Laserfiche mobile outside of a networked area. Some kind of synchronisation services might be useful.

Someone from Laserfiche can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that this is a feature request that is currently being worked on for a future update release.

Hi Chris,

This is a feature that is being worked on, but currently it is not possible to access Forms offline. In the current configuration, the Mobile app is essentially a terminal into the Forms server, and so it's not possible to access or submit forms with the Forms server unavailable.
