Laserfiche Audit Trail Service Stopped

Dear Laserfiche User/experts

One of our client Audit trail service is stopped and when we tried to restart it, its getting fail to start, even restart one time the server still the problem same. it was working perfectly fine and suddenly stopped. 

attached are the screen taken from their system and in windows event viewer logs it shows." Unable to write to audit log (invalid file handle) File input/output error."

please guide me to solve this issue as i am not able to get what could be the issue.

The issue is resolved by following steps from KB 1012177.

Try deleting the config.xml file in the Audit Trail installation directory and then see if you can restart the service. You'll need to then reconfigure Audit Trail.

What account is the Audit Trail service running as? Can you make sure the account in question has rights to the Audit Trail program files folder? Try using an account that's a member of the local administrators group.

service is running using domain administrator. Also the domain administrator is a part of local admin group and having rights on the audit trail folder.

cannot understand why this happen. it was running but suddenly stopped.

Please open a case with Laserfiche Support and provide a copy of the entire application and system event logs saved in their native format.

Hello ,

Was Laserfiche able to resolve this issue, and if so how.  I have the same issue, "Laserfiche Audit Trail Reporting" service worked one day, the next I was not able to restart service.  As well, when running the"Configure Laserfiche Audit Trail 9.2" program I receive the same "Failed to connect to an IPC Port: The system cannot find the file specified." error.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please discard my previous comments.  After properly implementing KB 1012177 everything seems to functioning.
