Question

Running a report on an event in Audit Trail

asked on May 15, 2015

I was curious how long it takes for an audited event to show up on a report (using age not date range). I am working on a system where it used to take about 5 minutes for an event to show up in the report. Now it has jumped to 20 minutes. What would control how long it takes an audited event to show up on a report?

Thanks!

Most of the time, Audit Trail will contact the Laserfiche server every 5 minutes to ask about new audit data.  While there are active sessions in the Audit Trail Reporter, it will speed up to every 60 seconds for the repositories that users are querying.  Audit Trail is subject to the same factors that can slow down other Laserfiche clients - http-filtering anti-virus, slow routers or firewalls, reverse dns delays, etc - but those shouldn't add up to 20 minutes.
