Unable to require SSL on Forms without getting an error that http:// can't be reached

asked on May 12, 2015 Show version history

When I require SSL on the Forms webpage and a Form is submitted the following error is posted in the event log and the save to repository task is suspended. Why must the system access the site via http?

I found if I enter information into the Primary Forms Server URL it changes the site that the forms product attempts to access however the system is obsessed with using http instead of https. Even when I define https, the system tries the impossible syntax of http://https://.

Ok, figured it out. You have to enter the server name and port into the text field and check the use SSL checkbox. The description was super confusing, said only needed if you have multiple forms servers.

In the FormsConfig site, under the "Forms Server" section, can you confirm that the primary Forms server URL is valid and that you have "Use SSL connection" checked?

That is what it was, that section was not filled out because we only have one forms server and then I was trying to enter the entire URL into it.
