Question

When quickfields converts a document to tiff, signatures are being made very large.

asked on May 11, 2015 Show version history

We have a Quick Fields session that is designed to pull PDF electronic files out of the repository using LF Capture Engine.  QF generates pages, and removes color, then scales to 200 dpi.  After that it stores back to LF.

Unfortunately, the problem is that the signature is getting blown up to be very large compared to the digital signature block that contains the signature.

Tried remove the 200 dpi resize activity, but that didn't affect the problem.

It does not have the issue when using the "Generate Pages" command from the LF Client.

I have attached a screenshot of view of the PDF and of the Tiff after conversion.

I just wanted to give everyone an update.... it is the size of the box and the font that is used.  I shrunk all the boxes to half the size width and height and then verified it is set to Time Roman.  Works like a charm.

Bryce, could you open a support case and attach a sample PDF, please? It's probably not going to be a strightforward fix as we'll have to forward it to the people who make the 3rd party library we use for PDF page extraction.
