OCR Passport Scanner

We have a client who is requesting an OCR scanner for Passports that is able to capture information like name save it in their POS system

Is there any recommended scanner model?

Hi Farah,

We typically do not recommend a generic scanner as there are many factors to consider when choosing one, e.g. number of documents being scanned, size of documents, speed, budget, desktop vs. centralized scanning, etc.

However, a list of supported scanners can be found here. These are scanners that we have tested and are compatible with Laserfiche. There are ones on there that would satisfy your client's requirements for OCR scanning passports.

Hi, I want to implement passport scanner process for Guest Check-in hotel.

Does Laserfiche have a workflow or any automation process whereby passport details can be captured from scanned document. Take note that passports are from different countries.
