Question

is there a way to add the current date in a stamp to use it with workflow to apply it to the first page of the document

asked on May 7, 2015

My Customer would like to stamp automatically all document received in a perticular folder by using workflow.

Well they want to add the current date, so a text like "Reveived May 07, 2015

I tried with public stamp but the token is not taken in charge by workflow and in the documentation there is a note telling to use public stamp without token.

So is there a work around to get this done ? This is important for the Customer because in there business the stamp with the date in the document is part of there business process to prove that they own the document from that date.

I would try what John suggested.  On the laserfiche help documentation it states "You cannot use custom stamps that include one or more tokens nor create a custom stamp with this activity."

So when you try to apply a stamp with tokens it actually just doest %date instead of the global date.  On the other hand, if you apply a text box it will apply the global token.  It will serve basically the same purpose and you could still run searches for it via basic annotation text.

Would a text box work okay? It will basically serve the exact function with just a difference in name.
