Question

Adding a tab char to a token

asked on May 5, 2015

I am trying to include a tab character between two values or more in a token. How can I do that?

Example:

001 (Tab Char)   Details 1    (Tab Char)

002 (Tab Char)   Details 2    (Tab Char)

003 (Tab Char)   Details 3    (Tab Char)

Thanks for your help.

I am trying to set up an email without using html, but with values separated by tabs.

Porfirio,

If your keyboard has a number pad, you can add a tab character in your token by hitting ALT + (number pad 0) + (number pad 9) on your keyboard. If you don’t have a number pad, I believe you can copy and paste the following tab character here: [ ]

Edit: see the box below for the tab character to copy and paste

Tab character is inside the brackets:[	]

Normally the tab key will take you to the next input area Laserfiche, but using the methods above will add a tab character without doing this.

I hope this helps!
