asked on April 29, 2015

I am looking for a list of all standard ports that are used by the different Laserfiche products to communicate.  Is there such a document?

Miruna, thanks for that link.  I could not find anything in my own searching of the support site.

Can the Full Text Search Service be added to that list?

The page has been updated. You may need to check back later to see it though. LFFTS uses port 5053 by default.

Raymond, Thanks for the links but I still don't see any windows components listed (like port 25). I'm looking for a list of everything that Laserfiche could potentially use (including any windows components it might call on). Assume every single port is blocked (which it is).

The Dev articles are written on the assumptions that the windows functions underneath are open and allowed. I need a total list of everything.

Chris, we only list the Laserfiche components as we have no control over the settings of other applications and it's not really possible to keep such documentation up to date. Microsoft would have documentation on the mail server settings (which I'm guessing is what you're referring to when you mention port 25): https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/176466

Thanks Miruna,

It's just frustrating during the install as I've opened all the ports listed in the dev notes, but still hit a brick wall all the time with lots of other things like email, copy and paste, license activation between server and LFDS etc. Basic windows functions that you would kind of assume are open but they aren't.

Do you have a list of the communication direction for the Laserfiche ports? (inbound, outbound)

Can you tell us specifically what you are having an issue with at this time?

Sure. I recently had an install at a customers and asked them to open up the relevant ports as per the KB article. Unfortunately the link/Deb notes aren't enough information as it doesn't state in which direction the ports need to be opened so we had to go through a long period of trial and error to work this out. On top of this there was a whole load of other ports that needed to be opened for the various windows components to function which support Laserfiche. Basically it would be nice to have a full list of all ports along with their direction for future reference as this doesn't seem to exist currently.

Cheers!

Is there any more information you need Raymond?

Is there an updated port listing available?  I know a lot has changed since LF 9 and the linked Dev Notes do not list anything for Forms.
