Question

business process ID for Audit Trial

asked on April 28, 2015

Stupid question. Where does one find the Business Process ID to run an Audit on a particular business process?

Hi Karsten,

That is in fact a very good question because the Business Process ID is actually (to my knowledge) only used in the database. Is there a particular reason you want to use ID instead of the name for the Audit?

The audit filter for Business Process name doesn't seem to like when I type or copy n paste in the name, so I was trying to run an audit off the Business Process ID similar to Entry ID or Folder ID.

The business process IDs are only visible in the SQL database, they're not exposed in the user interface. You can find them in the bizproc table in the database.

When you say you can't type into the business process name filter, what browser are you using? Does it happen in other web browsers? Does it happen to any filter that has a textbox?

The process ID is also available in the URL when you open the process in forms.  It is the last few digits at the end of the URL.

It's not the same though. This thread is about business processes in the Laserfiche repository.

Business process steps are logged in the process history and Workflow, not Audit Trail. What sort of information are you looking for?

Business Process ID is a filter in Audit Trail.
