We are considering purchasing the Forms Portal. It is my understanding, we will be able to have users enter/submit forms on our company website without the need of a license. Will the portal work the same on other URL’s inside the firewall (not need a license)? We would use this internal URL for our approx. 300 users that work for the company. If we can use an internal URL, once we receive the form from portal, we can process it via Process Modeler (using User Tasks, Service Task with the Process Modeler)?

Answer
The Forms Portal can be used on an internal or external URL. We currently use ours for both so public users can fill out certain forms. Once the form is submitted the processing of the form is the same as those that have a license.
Some additional ideas for you, you can also pass information to Forms from other sites. For instance, we have created an intranet and embedded a Laserfiche form inside of it. Since our users are logging into our intranet via an Active Directory integration, we pass the email address associated with the logged in user to the form being filled out to do database lookups. This is one you can "secure" the form without them having a Laserfiche license. You cannot however assign a user task to these users. User tasks can only be assigned to those with a Laserfiche license.
