Can anyone advise whether the communication between the Laserfiche thick client and the server can be encrypted? I know for the web product this can be achieved through SSL, but I need to know whether this is possible when using the thick client.

If this is not possible, I would like to know if the volume is encrypted, when scanning or importing document on the client side, does the client encrypt the files before transmitting to the server? Or does the encryption happen on the server side.
