Question

Laserfiche compatibility with OpenOffice

asked on April 22, 2015

Hi.

I have a client whereby Laserfiche Client 9.2.1 needs to be installed on his workstation and MS Office has not been installed. But, OpenOffice is installed on his PC. My questions are as follows:

Q1: Will LF Office add-on work properly if LF client is already installed on the machine and MS Office is installed on it at a later time.

Q2: Is Laserfiche compatible with OpenOffice?

Thanks

Kind Regards,

Sheila

Hi Sheila,

1) Yes as long as the office integration components are installed as part of the install.

2) No. Open Office is not supported by Laserfiche. See here for supported configurations -

Hope this helps! yes

Note that open office can still be used just like any other external application, it just won't have the built-in native office integration support.
