Can someone provide an overview on how Laserfiche interacts with DNS?
Like most networked applications, Laserfiche applications use DNS to resolve host names to IP addresses. The Laserfiche server also does reverse lookups on incoming connections for more informative displays in the admin console and audit logs.
Do you have a specific question about this? Is there a problem you are troubleshooting?
I just needed an overview to help us explain all the ways Laserfiche utilizes DNS, beyond the base networked application needs.

I've also found that Workflow doesn't always start, on my test rig, without reverse DNS. My customers have had reverse DNS set up so I don't know how this works in the real world. Can you confirm?
