Search Result issue

hi to all

i am facing a problem with the Search Result when i try to search documents using Template & when i pass the paramter to field for example " Emp_ID = 00274" system shows mualti results like "00254, 00274,00294". for more information i am attching screenshots .

 to solve this i try also reindex entire Repository but still the problem same.

 

Laserfiche version : 9.2.0.343

When a text or list field is indexed, it means that Laserfiche will use the Full Text Search Engine to perform the search for values of that field. Since the Full Text Search Engine is used, it can then also use the Fuzzy Search option which appears to be your scenario.

If you want to search for an exact value across that field, then either turn off the Fuzzy Search option (from the Client's Tools > Options > Search dialog) or go into the Laserfiche Administration Console and uncheck the "Indexed" option for the Emp_ID field. Once the field is no longer indexed, then Laserfiche will use the database engine to perform the field search.

The Emp_ID field is indexed (you can tell by the fact that the search results displays the context hits) and you probably have the fuzzy search option enabled so that's why it's returning results where the values are similar to your search value.

yes Emp_ID is Indexed & i am only using  Field Search Option  --> Search by Template Option. fyi

Thanks Alexander the Problem solved after uncheck the "indexed" option.
