asked on April 20, 2015

P N9120 scanners comes with TWAIN & KOFAX option. KOFAX, normally makes advance cleanup of image scanned.

Which option is the best option for scanning to LF and please provide link to configuration manual?

LF 9.2 server is used.

When available, I will always pick Kofax VRS as my first choice.  It normally gives the best image in a wide range of document types and (if pro or elite) has all your deskew, despeckle, auto crop, etc. included.

A lot of it depends on what you are scanning and what the best output is. I have found that sometimes I get better results with TWAIN others with KOFAX. I always try both to see what the output is. Sometimes it is a matter of how many steps are needed to scan something in. I try and select the way that gives the best output and as few clicks as possible.

People who are using the scanner are novice users and I am supposed to configure best config for them to minimise them configuring the scanner & so on.

Types of documents scanned are normal letters A4, A5 Letters, A5 Documents, Invoices & Bills.

I would like to have Deskew, auto orientation, Despeckle, Automatic deletion of blank pages, Border removal, Image enhancement upon scanning. With above mentioned documents.

TWAIN or kofax is the best for the scanning

Is there any additional license that the client have to buy if using the kofax VRS option for scanning?
