Submitted and Deleted Forms Showing in Inbox

A customer is having an issue in Forms where some forms that were submitted & deleted during design/testing of their form are showing up in the Forms user's Inbox. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I can see the submitted forms in the inbox as well as seeing them as deleted in the results page. They are on Forms 9.2.1 with the latest patch and I did not see this issue come up in any of my searches.

Hello Clayton,

Are you referring to a Forms Business process being deleted? Or are you referring to the Form within the Form Business Process being deleted? In any case, if the Forms Business Process is deleted, then that should terminate all active instances as well, meaning it will not show up in the Inbox.

If you attempt to delete the Form within the Business Process, you won't be able to do that, if the Form is still in use. So if this is the case, then perhaps they are using a different form within that Business Process that looks similar to that of the one you deleted. 

 

What happens if you attempt to push the instance through?

This is not a process being deleted, but instances of the process that are deleted via the Results page but are still showing up in the user's Inbox.

Did you upgrade from a previous version and are you using LDAP?

I see, so basically you had a pending task for a user for a certain instance, but then went into Results to delete it correct? However upon doing so, the task never ended up being cleared from the user's pending task >Inbox? 

 

If this is the case, please open a support case so that we can look into it and perform the troubleshooting steps there.

I wanted to check and see if this issue had been resolved?  We had a very similar issue happen here, where we had deleted a form, but any outstanding User Tasks remained in Task Participants' Inboxes.

Please open a support case with your VAR. It would be helpful if you could provide the problematic database as well and the user task instance name so we can further investigate this issue.

This was actually something different.  I had restricted someone's permissions to the form on a group level, and they previously had access - once I added these permissions back, everything worked fine again. :)
