Dears,

a customer is looking for a solution which can monitor the C, D , F, etc.. drives of the users and whenever a new files (Word, Excel, PPT) is created on any of the drive, then the files needs to be imported to Laserfiche.

for sure we cannot propose Import agent to be installed on each user PC for many reason:

1- We are talking about 1000 Users.

2- They cannot restrict the users to save their documents on their personal PCs.

3- They don't need the users to control the import to Laserfiche.

what you propose?

Import Agent can monitor UNC paths. If the computers are on the network, their disk drives can be shared so that Import Agent can monitor them.

I would be a bit more specific though, as monitoring a whole disk drive that contains a lot of different files will take a lot of time and likely that unnecessary documents will be stored into Laserfiche (e.g. a blank document that was accidently created). A better option is to provide users a specific folder or disk drive to save documents in.
