We have a need to be able to save the contents of emails that are sent to employees into their employee folder in Laserfiche from Forms. Currently I do not believe that information is available as a token or variable to pass onto Workflow. Is that correct? If so, I would like that to be a feature added to the system. It would need to be able to save the content after it is done dynamically populating the values though.

Hi there,
User can upload document through File Upload field. So they can drag the email to desktop and upload in the File Upload field, and form attachments will be saved to Laserfiche Repository through the Save to Repository service task in Forms.
You mentioned some value need to be populated, is it the document's entry id? or what value? and where you need the value, in Forms or in Workflow?
The problem is that Forms is sending the email through a Task. We do not want the user to then have to go to a Form and upload the email they just received. Since it is a record that needs to be saved to the employees personnel folder, we need a way to save it directly from Forms.
Has there been any development on this process? The only solution i've seen so far is to use Import Agent.
Its been over two years since the last comment and 6 years since this feature was requested. Is this possible yet? We generate emails through a workflow and I need to record a copy in the communication system.
The ability to have a Forms process store an Forms-generated email into the repository is something we also need, for quite a few processes. Please elevate this feature request priority. Thanks!
This functionality already exists through a combination of mail server settings and Import Agent. Your mail server can be set to copy all emails sent by Forms/Workflow to a mailbox and Import Agent's email archiving features can pull the messages into Laserfiche.
Thank you, Miruna. We would have to purchase Import Agent to do that. The Forms Professional we already paid for should be able to do that out of the box. But thank you for confirming that Laserfiche does not intend to add that functionality.
