LF Connector Putty not on tool bar

asked on April 9, 2015

Hello,

I have a customer that is using LF Connector with EDEN. When EDEN is open the LFConnector Putty does not show up on the tool bar.(Please see screen shot). The putty shows up on the right side of the screen (she has dual monitors). When I Restore down the window, the putty is shown on the right side. can you please let me know if there is away to have the putty somewhere in the tool bar of EDEN? thank you!

I think the problem is that your window is narrower than the default window size LFConnector expects. Try modifying the profile to set a different location for it.

In your profile XML, you should see something like this towards the top (it wouldn't have the exact same values, like Firefox, for ex. It would have the name of your application):

<AppDef pname="firefox" wclass="MozillaWindowClass" url="" woffset="-60,800,40,40">

woffset is the location of the icon. It's not there by default, you can add it. It is measured from the top right corner of the window. The first coordinate is the horizontal distance in pixels from the top right corner (negative numbers make the icon go to the left, positive numbers make the icon go off the window to the right), the next one is the vertical locations, the 3rd is the icon width and the last is the heigth.

Hi,

This worked when trying to move the putty to the tab in EDEN, but the putty still floats around when I minimize or if I try to move EDEN to the other screen. So I would need to know which screen and what size of the window she will normally view to set the coordinates. Is there another permanente way to do this?

Hi Sophia,

We're investigating being able to set the icon location as a percentage of the window instead of an absolute coordinate for exactly this type of issue, but that's not present in the current version.

Did this final solution help anyone? I am running in to this same issue with 9.1.
