Question

Would the use quickfields scripting allow the auto-redaction feature to potentially utilize an excel list of 5,000 terms, as the words to redact?

asked on March 30, 2015

We have a client that has a need to redact certain words from a very large repository of documents.  They have a defined list of approximately 5,000 words.  We currently see no other way to do this than adding each one, one at a time through the session configuration in Quickfields.  They have the list in Excel.  Is there any way we could automate loading this list?  Maybe Quickfields Scripting or some other way?

Hello Donny,

I spoke with a Quick Fields developer on this one who informed me that Quick Fields auto-annotation activity doesn't have the ability to use tokens to input the pattern to redact or annotate.  This means that there doesn't appear to be a way to script or automate the entering of every word that you would like to redact.  It's still possible to include every word, however time consuming, and it should function correctly, but we're not able to do much to alleviate the work load.

If you have other questions, plese let us know!

Thank you for confirming Rob.   I just wanted to make sure there was not something we were missing
