I discussed offline access of documents within the repository in Coming Attractions but, as Jason notes, that's a different scenario then offline forms. 

What we have seen as a workaround is to provide fillable PDFs for offline use and then build the form to allow the form to be filled out in realtime or accept file upload of pdf.  Then use workflow to process the submissions.

We have had multiple requests from organization that have field reps/agents that are out in the field, who need to be able to do their work (using forms), when they do not have access to Wi-Fi.   One example would be for large commercial contracting firms that have Project Managers that need to submit change orders while at a job-site, where there is no Wi-Fi.   We have countless other examples for other organizations that have field reps on the front lines, and we have one that can describe their specific use case to the development if desired.   I too thought I heard that offline forms was being considered for a future release of mobile - so I am just looking for a status update if possible.
