Items disappear from list in template

In a Quickfields session we have had kind of a weird issues.  Certain items from a drop down list in a template will disappear for months at a time and then randomly appear again. Client 8.3.1

They dont appear to have different properties then the other items on the list. 

 

Have you experienced this and what was the issue?

We haven't heard of that issue specifically, but I suspect it's more of an issue where the list field in the Quick Fields session isn't getting updated as the user would expect.

Check the Metadata Updater settings in Quick Fields. Make sure that Laserfiche metadata is updated when a session is opened and that it is not set to run only once a day per session. Once those options are saved, then when you close your Quick Fields session and reopen it, it should update the metadata every time upon opening. This way you're guaranteed to have the most up to date available values in the list.

I know this is an old post. I deselected that checkbox but the metadata did not update until after the machine rebooted. Is there another more global setting that can be override the 'Run only once a day' checkbox?

I wonder if this could be that the user having the problem does not have rights to save changes to the file where the options save to??
