Forms inserting HTML code into tokens

posted on March 25, 2015

I am getting <br> tags in my token contents from a form submission. I can see the token values by passing them to a template field and saving to the repository. The user is not entering <br> into the field, just new lines and the new lines are coming across properly in the token but with a <br> tag in addition.

when you update the metadata, just use a function to split on <br>, then to remove <br>. That should do it, though annoying it has to even be done.

Oh, didn't realize you could split, then remove like that. That is the replace function I have been looking for. Thanks!

Mark this answered so it's easier to find. Glad I was able to help.

I find it odd that Laserfiche has different functionality for tokens in different products. It makes some sense though as they are always adding things in the latest product they develop. I hope they bring the replace function to Workflow Designer soon.

What version of Forms are you running?

This issue should have been fixed in Forms 9.2.1.1069.

Rui,

I am still experiencing this.  Instead of inserting the < br > into my metadata, it's doing it on the next field in the list.  I am currently running 9.2.1.1069 - any idea how to fix this?

Thanks,

Nate

I'm really sorry that the fix wasn't working as expected on 9.2.1.

We have confirmed the issue fixed on 10 though.
