Merged Documents and their old document ID

When a user merges two documents through appending pages from one document to another, is there anyway to track the document ID of the old document? We know that we can find it in Audit Trail, but we were hoping that it would be in a table somewhere so that we could run a query against it.

The concept of a 'merged document' isn't one that the Server retains. Audit Trail would be your resouce for this.

That is what I was afraid of. We may try and write the entry ID to a metadata field then search on that to create a history of sorts. We should be able to write our stored procedure to accommodate this.
