Has anyone integrated a map function to Forms?

We've had a request to include the ability to select a target on a map that will help identify a location on forms for submission of works or complaints in the local government arena.

Has anyone had similar requests or needs and is there a way to tackle it currently or possibly in future?

Just taking a quick look at this, I would believe it is possible as Google has an API using JavaScript that could be used. You can easily embed a Google Map into your form. The question will be when the person submitting the form selects a location from it, capturing the latitude and longitude to store in hidden fields so at the next step in your process, you can pass that into the Google Map to pull the same location.

Have you tried this?  I am currious as I too need this solution and do not want to waste the time if you have and it has not worked.

A solution to this was presented at Empower a few years ago.  This was an old post back in 2015.
