As an fyi to readers, the issue encountered by Ashish is an SCR (127058). It is an issue specific to the way they created their PDFs. If you encounter this issue, we would encourage you to contact Support so we can obtain a copy of the PDFs for testing as well as obtain pertinent details about the issue.
It was having issue in LF 9.2. Some PDF files generated from scanner are generating blank pages while importing to repository using drag & drop.
We can use TIF as output instead of PDF and the best solution is to upgrade to 10.1.
We did tried both and working fine.
Hi Ashish,
Is it just this particular PDF or does this happen for all PDF's?
Does this happens to all users?
Does this happen on all workstations or just 1?
What are you settings set to under Tools>New Documents>Settings
Thanks for quick reply Chris,
It is not happening with all the files. I am not preserving PDF file, converting to LF Pages while importing to LF. It happens for multiple user and on multiple workstation.
Hmmmm,
I'm tempted to think it's something specific with those particular PDF's. I've set my options to the following:-
And I can import PDF's with no issues in both colour and B&W.
I would open a support case with Laserfiche and provide the PDF's to them so they can troubleshoot this further and work out what specifically is causing this.
To workaround this for now try changing the following:-
See if that helps!
Cheers!
A case has already been opened for this issue. The thread will be updated with the results of the case when we have it.
Thanks for quick reply. I had already opened the case as well. I tried the same PDF with 300 DPI and it worked but my client has most of the files scanned in 200dpi.
As was mentioned in the case, we will need you to provide a copy of the PDF that has this issue.
Snapshot virtual printer option is not working. Instead of that: open pdf, file > print using Laserfiche snapshot and store to repository generates the pages for all DPI's file without problem. Still it has the issue to read the barcode when I reprocess the documents.
Ashish, did you ever get a resolution here that worked well? I'm running into the same issue, talked with support yesterday, snapshot isn't an option for us here
We have a client that's having the same issue. Any updates to the SCR???
Assuming its the same issue, it is resolved in LF10

I am using v. 10.1.0.151 and I am having this issue with a PDF, it was working fine until today so I don't want to change a bunch of settings. It is a PDF received from an external source, so it is hard to know how it was originally created.
