Question

Laserfiche is Compatible with a Content Addressable Storage (CAS) ?

asked on March 17, 2015

For archiving purposes (retention of documents for a defined amount of time, usually to comply with applicable domestic a/o foreign laws), the application must be compatible with a Content Addressable Storage (CAS). The CAS that HDM uses is EMC Centera. http://www.emc.com/data-protection/centera.htm

CAS must be used for invoices (CFDIs) and, if specified, also for contracts.

Laserfiche as an application is unaware of what happens in the background on a SAN. As far as Laserfiche is concerned it see's the C D E F etc. drives and that's it. As long as the files are accessible through the windows OS and to Laserfiche then it will work just fine.
