Dragging Existing Variable to Form Shows Like New Field

I have tried this several times in Forms 9.2.0.1069. If I create a field on one form, have it save the variable information, delete the field from the form. Then add the field to another form, it keeps the variable name, but does not keep the field name or any of its settings. Is that how it is supposed to behave?

I think this is the expected behavior, when drag variable to a form, it will take over settings for the first field it bind to to the other form, but if the variable has no bind field, then it will use the default settings for a new field of that field type.

It may be an isolated incident on one form. I just tried it on another form and it worked as expected.
