I have applied different Security Tags for different projects users and gave the security access to head office users. I wanted to restrict the head office users, so they can only add / change the metadata fields but wanted to stop them for selecting different Tags and to change the rights. Is there any way.

Hi Adnan,

I'm pretty sure that assigning tags falls under the 'write metadata' access right (as it forms part of the document metadata). So it's all or nothing.

Sure it would make a good feature request though!

Hello,

This is not possible with tags. If a user has access to the tag, they can view the docs with that tag as well as set/unset it. You may want to consider applying security differently. For example, using Workflow to grant access rights to users based on project name.
