Question

Laserfiche displaying currency field as €

asked on March 12, 2015

Hi all,

I know it might be a simple question. In a client, only for LF Web Access, in some computers, it is displaying currency fields as pounds (€). In the Admin Console, in field format it says "Australian AUD - $".

I have changed the Regional settings for the PC and the browsers with no success.

Any idea of what might be causing this issue?

Cheers,

The language preference in Internet Explorer had been set to English (United Kingdom) so that's what was causing the issue. After changing that to English (Australia), the issue was resolved. The root cause is that Web Access is using the browser language preference to determine the currency symbol which it shouldn't be doing. Instead, it should follow the currency field setting configured in LF Admin. We're looking into the matter and hope to resolve it in a future release.

As a side note, the actual issue was that the currency symbol was displayed as the British pound (£)

Hi Andres,

What is the exact version of Web Access? Please click the 'About' link at the bottom of the Web Access login page. And what is the language preference settings for the browser on the machines where the currency fields display as pound ()? Is it set to English (United Kingdom)?

Regards

Not to nitpick, but that's a euro (€), not a pound (£) sign. Andres, could you open a support case so we can get all the information on the regional settings and so on?

Hi Minura,

Thanks I am not too familiar with currencies :)

My question was specifically in regards to where is Laserfiche taking that "euro" (€) from? If it's a regional setting or some user attributes. Web Access version 9.2.0.67.

I will open a case with Support.

Thanks,
