404 error in mobile

asked on March 12, 2015 Show version history

We've got Mobile up and running and I can see my Folders in the Repository and drill down and see documents, however when I try to open a document I get a "Error:  The remote server returned an error (404) Not Found"  When I click ok, it says No text.   I can see the Metadata associated with the document but the document itself will not open up.   I've tried this on tif, word and pdf files.   All I have rights to open.   Any ideas?

Mobile version is 9.2.1.293

Hi Rebecca,

We suspect there might be missing files at mobile server side to cause the problem.

Could you please check your mobile server, path may be "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Mobile\Web Files\WebAccessMobile", see if there are 5 aspx files (GetExportFileEdoc.aspx, GetExportFilePrint.aspx, GetTileDataIPhone.aspx, ImportAppendImage.aspx, Thumbnail.aspx)? If that's the case, re-install the mobile server should work.

Thank you.

We'll need a bit more information before we'll be able to help you with your issue. Can the user you're logged in as see those documents when using Web Access or the desktop client? Does the error show up whenever any user attempts to view these documents, or just the one you're logged in as? Also, are you unable to open any and all documents, or are there a specific subset that are problematic?

The user has full rights to open all documents and can open all documents on the desktop client no matter where they are located in the Test Repository .     Internally the user can open it via Web Access, however I cannot test via the external web as Web Access is not accessible externally.    Error occurs no matter who logs in.

Thanks.

Good Afternoon,

I checked the files and they are there.   Any other suggestions?   If not I'll put in a support call.

Thanks.
